Abstract
The South Asia region contains many large river systems: Ganges, Brahmaputra, Meghna, and Indus which support millions of people. Water security has one of Indian government`s policy. Regarding the relationship in water resources between India and Bangladesh, also India and Pakistan, it should be exist at official level. Water has been an important issue among the nations in South Asia who share transnational river basin. Because of, increasing population and changing patterns of water use in South Asia, it increasing water shortage. India has long term water disputes with Bangladesh dan Pakistan on distribution of water resources. This disputes are increasing because of unfairness in the distribution of water. South Asia has face a climate change risk that climate change is another factor that can lead to floods or droughts. The security studies brought environmental studies, including water, under its domain. The concerns of enviromental studies brought the focus of conflicts emerging within or between countries on water sharing.
